When we paint your Summer house we use two colour matching undercoat / primer sealers on the timber before we start to hand craft your building this way all the tongues have been pre painted ready for our staff to hand craft your building...

When your pre Painted Summer House is made it comes back to our heated paint shop and is then inspected, and filled Ready for your chosen TOP SHADE...

It takes between seven to 10 days to paint a Summerhouse

Unlike most firms who just paint the exterior ( not the tongues ) we do it right, yes it takes longer but you never see those ugly white lines if the timber shrinks in summer

WHEN YOU PURCHASE A PAINED SUMMERHOUSE FROM LANCASHIRE SUMMERHOUSE YOU CAN REST ASSURED WE DO IT RIGHT !!

OUR PAINT PROCESS...

1/ Primer Application: First sanding , clean down, remove all dust- then – All timber is treated with one coat of Environmentally friendly water based colour-matching primer sealer. ( including the tongues ) Then it is Baked again..

2/ Second Sanding: The timber is lightly sanded to ensure a smooth surface. ready for the second coat. Remove all dust,Paint second coat sealer and bake.

3/ Handcrafted manufacture: The timber is then moved to our workshop, where our skilled craftsmen hand-make the summerhouse.

4/ Doors, Windows, and Trim: During the manufacturing period, the doors, windows, and all exterior trim receive the same two coats of colour-matching undercoat in the paint shop along with the final top coat.

5/ Final Sanding and Coating: The summerhouse returns to our heated paint shop for a final fill, sanding, and wipe down. The top coat, chosen by our customer, is then applied and baked.

6/ Final Inspection Finish: Everything gets a final check, all the ‘extra painted parts’ like facia and corners are wrapped up and ready for delivery, so that everything is pristine for our customers.

YOUR TIMBER IS CLEANED
YOUR BUILDING IS INSPECTED AGAIN
IT IS NOW READY FOR THE TOP COAT PAINT
YOUR BUILDING IS THEN PAINTED IN YOUR CHOSEN SHADE
YOUR BUILDING IS LEFT IN A HEATED BUILDING ALL DAY
YOUR BUILDING IS AGAIN INSPECTED AND HEATED FOR A SECOND DAY
YOUR BUILDING THEN GETS THE DOORS AND WINDOWS FIT
YOUR BUILDING IS NOW READY FOR DELIVERY / ASSEMBLY BY OUR TRAINED STAFF

We use a water based acrylic paint that comes from the Netherlands, this absolutely top quality paint is durable, and strong, gives an excellent finish on all our painted timber Summerhouses, it is available in ANY FARROW AND BALL SHADE OR RAL COLOUR IF YOU WANT TO MATCH YOUR HOUSE WINDOWS AND DOORS.

For more than three generations, we have been making paint special with passion. Our story goes back to 1898, and since then we have been producing and developing more than three million litres of paint a year from Terwispel in Friesland. We Build Beautiful... and We paint Beautiful....

We have a heated paint and spray area that is heated by our waste timber, We only use waste timber and cardboard to heat all our workshops thus our workshops are 100% environmentally friendly regarding keeping our staff warm and cosy.

We use this heat to ‘bake our paintwork’ as our painting workshop is the closest to our industrial heater. Our TALBOT wood burning heater is 100% eco friendly – due to having a blower through the ash these industrial burners are incredible.

SO NOT ONLY IS OUR PAINT ‘WATER BASED’ ‘TOUGH AND RELIABLE’ WHEN WE BAKE THE PAINT IT GIVES A SUPERB FINISH TO YOUR SUMMERHOUSE

We have two TALBOT WOOD BURNING HEATERS this one has a heat output of 300,000 BTU about 3 times the heat output of a home gas boiler
