Terms & Conditions
Payment Terms
Deposits and Final Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total agreed price is required at the time of booking to secure your scheduled build date. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than the day prior to the confirmed build date.
All goods and materials supplied shall remain the property of Workgreat Ltd until full payment has been received and cleared in full.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept payment by BACS (bank transfer) or cash. Where payment is made by BACS, cleared funds must be received in our account prior to attendance on site.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your booking, notice must be provided in writing.
- The 20% deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the scheduled build date will not incur any further charges beyond the deposit paid.
- Where cancellation occurs within 4 weeks of the scheduled build date, the full contract price shall become immediately due and payable.
This charge reflects a genuine pre-estimate of the losses likely to be incurred by Workgreat Ltd, including (but not limited to) loss of scheduled time, administrative costs, allocation of labour, and materials ordered or prepared specifically for the project. By confirming the booking, the client acknowledges and agrees that this represents a reasonable and proportionate recovery of losses and is not intended to operate as a penalty.
Workgreat Ltd reserves the right to cancel or reschedule works due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, any payments made (excluding the cost of completed work or materials already purchased or allocated to the project) will be refunded or transferred to a mutually agreed alternative date.
Site Requirements and Installation Conditions
The Client is responsible for ensuring that a suitable, level and solid base is prepared prior to the agreed installation date. Acceptable base materials include concrete, paving slabs (flags), tarmac, or well-compacted gravel. The base must be of sufficient size and structural integrity to support the building.
The installation area must be fully cleared and provide safe and unobstructed access to enable our team to carry out the works safely and efficiently.
A responsible adult (aged 18 or over) must be present on site at the time of installation to confirm the exact position of the building. Once assembly has commenced, the position of the building cannot be altered or repositioned.
A minimum clearance of 600mm (2 feet) is required on all sides of the building to allow safe assembly and future maintenance access.
Installation will proceed in all reasonable weather conditions. Workgreat Ltd reserves the right to suspend works in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions.
If the Client postpones the agreed installation date, storage charges may apply. Any such charges will be communicated in advance and must be paid prior to rearrangement of the installation date.
Aftercare and Maintenance
Ongoing and adequate maintenance is essential to preserve the appearance, performance, and longevity of your building.
Stained Buildings
Buildings supplied with a stained finish must be treated within three (3) months of installation. Thereafter, we recommend re-treating the building annually using a high-quality exterior wood treatment such as Sikkens or Sadolin Extra (or equivalent) to maintain protection and appearance.
Whilst Workgreat Ltd hand-builds all structures to a high standard, ongoing maintenance of any external timber structure remains the responsibility of the Client. Timber exposed to the elements will deteriorate and may rot if not adequately and regularly treated. Failure to maintain the building in accordance with these guidelines may invalidate any applicable guarantee.
Painted (Coloured) Buildings
Coloured buildings are supplied with three coats of exterior paint. To maintain the finish and protective qualities, we recommend re-painting the main structure every five (5) years. Doors and steps, being high-wear areas, should be re-treated every two (2) years.
Preparation for Re-Treatment
Prior to applying any paint or stain, all surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned by brushing off debris and washing with warm, soapy water. Do not use detergents, solvent-based cleaners, or harsh chemical products on exterior paint, silicone, stain, or varnish finishes.
All timber must be completely dry before applying any treatment to ensure proper adhesion and durability.
EPDM Rubber Roofing
The roof is supplied as a single sheet of EPDM rubber. Due to storage and handling, fold marks or creases may be present; these are a normal characteristic of the material and are not considered a defect. Where possible, such marks are positioned at the rear of the building.
The EPDM membrane is adhered to the roof surface. Under extreme heat, the material may soften, and minor rippling may appear. This is a normal response of the product and does not constitute a fault.
Interior Work and Electrical Installation
If any interior work is to be carried out, whether by the Client or a third party, care must be taken to avoid damage to the building structure. For example, cable clips or similar fixings must not penetrate the sides or roof of the building, as this may lead to leaks and your building becoming porous. All electrical cabling should enter the building from beneath the floor and should be secured face-fitted to the framing. Drilling through the framing or membrane will invalidate the guarantee.
Warranty Disclaimer
Workgreat Ltd’s guarantee does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, punctures, drilling, or modifications to the building structure or EPDM membrane by the Client or third parties. Any such damage, including but not limited to leaks, water ingress, or compromised structural integrity, will void the guarantee. The Client is responsible for ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
